Precious Peru
Peru is one of the World's greatest
centers of ancient civilization. Numerous highly developed
cultures flourished for thousands of years in this rich, intriguing and
rugged but always fascinating land.

Visitors from all over the World are
astonished and captivated by the array of archaeological sites such as "Machu
Pichu", The Lost City of the Incas, "Cuzco" and its unusual native and
Spanish architecture--a perfect example of the culture of two Worlds,
Lake Titicaca (the highest lake on earth) next to the Colla Burial "Chulpas".
The magnificent adobe city of "Chan Chan" close to the ancient burial
site of the "Lord of Sipan" the mysterious "Nazca Lines" in the southern
desert region and "Paracas" with its incredible textiles.

But Peru is not only a center of ancient
ruins, Peru also delights its visitors with a most spectacular
geographical terrain that includes 83 of the possible 103 ecological
zones of the planet and housing an overwhelming variety of wild animals
and plants. Peru has virtually every physical attraction or
challenge a tourist may wish for. The country is divided into
three very distinct geographical regions; the "Coast" with its narrow
valleys and deserts; the "Sierra and majestic Andes Mountain Range"; and
the "Amazon Jungle" with it's legendary Amazon River (This region
encompasses over half of Peru).
Other remarkable destinations when
visiting Peru should include a sojourn in 'The White City' of "Arequipa"
and its dormant mist in the valley of the "Volcanoes" or maybe a journey to the "Collca Canyon"
(The deepest canyon in the world) surrounded by unique, narrow
agricultural terraces. Perhaps "Trujillo" and its beautiful
attractions which include the "Caballos de Paso" and the "Marinera"
Festivals. And "Puno" offers it's own festivities featuring "La
Diablada de Puno" with its colorful
costumes and dynamic dances. A
